OSX homebrew update: unexpected token near HOMEBREW_BREW_FILE

I was trying to install mongodb on OS X with brew. And i ran into the problem where an error message 'unexpected token near HOMEBREW_BREW_FILE' was generated. It seems related to the version+location of ruby that's being used. $ sudo vi /usr/local/bin/brew Replace #!/usr/bin/ruby line with location of ruby which you can find out with 'locate ruby' #!/Users/alex/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.2-p290/bin/ruby
